The Spin

Pro-government narrative

As New Jersey's attorney, Habba delivered extraordinary results, achieving a 20% reduction in crime in Newark and the first murder-free summer in Camden in 50 years. The judges, however, cared not for these outcomes and instead sought to obstruct the president's anti-crime agenda for the benefit of violent criminals. The DOJ will strive to reverse this politicized decision.

Government-critical narrative

Habba's appointment was illegitimate from the start, given her hyper-partisan background and lack of relevant experience. As the appellate court rightly ruled, the administration's politicking to secure the position for Trump’s former attorney also violated the FVRA. Trump, therefore, must follow tradition and work with state senators to nominate a qualified replacement.
