Not only was Naroditsky an exceptionally gifted player, he was beloved in the chess community for his bright, insightful and passion-filled commentary. He earned an immense following for his level of educational content, but also for his sense of humor and personality. This is a tragic loss, and the chess community will sorely miss Danya.

Agh, not again. Russian grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik is in the headlines, but once more, for all the wrong reasons. After falsely accusing Naroditsky of cheating earlier in the year, this time, as the world learned of Naroditsky's death, Kramnik posted screenshots from a friend that implied the chess star was under the influence of drugs in his last episode and that he was being targeted by the "chess mafia."
