The Spin

Pro-Ukraine narrative

Russia's demands to Ukraine for a cease-fire — including giving up territory, not having security guarantees, and not restaffing and re-equipping the armed forces — is nothing short but a call for Ukraine's total capitulation. It's not a serious attempt at finding peace.

Pro-Russia narrative

The current proposals put forward by Washington to end the conflict do not currently consider its root causes, nor do they seek to eliminate them. As such, in their current form, the cease-fire proposals cannot be agreed to.
