The Spin

Democratic narrative

The EU has no choice but to step up and take responsibility for its own security and defense capabilities, as relying on US support is no longer guaranteed. Continuing military and financial support for Ukraine is crucial to achieving peace through strength and preventing Russian aggression from threatening European security.

Republican narrative

Prolonging the war through military aid only leads to unnecessary bloodshed. Following the US approach of direct negotiations with Russia and pushing for an immediate ceasefire is the most realistic path to peace. The EU is isolating itself from major global powers by maintaining its current stance.
