Version 6.15.2
Florida's groundbreaking move to end vaccine mandates champions true medical freedom and parental rights. Government has no business forcing parents to inject substances into their children's bodies — that decision belongs to families and their doctors, not bureaucrats or pharmaceutical companies lobbying to advance their political agenda. This historic step restores individual liberty and informed consent as the foundation of medical decisions.
This reckless policy — echoed and encouraged at the federal level under RFK Jr. — abandons decades of proven public health science and puts children at unnecessary risk of preventable diseases like measles and polio. Florida already offers broad religious and medical exemptions, making this wholesale elimination of protections dangerous and unnecessary. The move threatens to bring back diseases that once devastated communities before vaccines made them preventable.
Vaccines for diseases like measles and polio are highly effective and should be encouraged, so any broad ban on all vaccine mandates goes too far. At the same time, requiring every mandate at the state level ignores local differences and community needs. Decisions about vaccination requirements are best left to local school districts, but must be guided by scientific evidence.
