The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

Trump, in his short time in office, has already settled seven wars — wars that nobody thought could be settled, but Trump settled them anyway. On the other hand, he believed that the Russia-Ukraine war would be among the easiest because of his relationship with Putin. However, the Russian leader has really let him down by not doing more to bring the fighting to an end. Thousands of soldiers are dying each week and this is unacceptable.

Anti-Trump narrative

Trump has repeatedly issued deadlines for Russia to end the war — all of which they have ignored as they continue to string out the process. The reality is that Trump will never truly stand up to Putin. If this war is ever going to come to an end, it will be up to Congress to push through a strong enough package of sanctions that will make Russia suffer and reconsider its position.

Pro-Russia narrative

The U.S. and Trump are earnestly trying their hardest to settle the Ukraine conflict. For this reason, it's natural that Trump gets animated when discussing the subject. It should be noted that Putin remains ready to settle the fighting diplomatically — and is also expending a lot of energy towards that end — but the Kyiv regime and European countries are stifling efforts with the intention of keeping the war going, demonstrated by their continued attempts to push through demands that they know Russia cannot and will not accept.
