Casap methodically planned to use his parents' resources to fund an attack on the president, with the intent of overthrowing the government, and coordinating with foreign contacts to ensure his escape and frame Russia. He will soon face the consequences of his actions courtesy of the U.S. justice system.
Left narrative
Casap is a naïve individual who has clearly fallen victim to manipulative, extremist rhetoric online and, as a young high school student, his age should be considered in the legal proceedings. While he certainly needs to be punished, the justice system and, moreover, the U.S. political sphere, needs to learn from this horrific incident and consider what steps need to be taken to prevent further radicalization in future.
