Republican narrative
Trump gave Harvard more than enough time to get its act together, but it seems the university's intransigence outweighs its commitment to education. Instead of providing information about antisemitic sympathizers on campus, Harvard chose to double down, resulting in lost funding and student visa privileges.
Democratic narrative
This is not about the rule of law or reporting criminals; it's about Donald Trump leveraging his power to force a university to teach what he wants. The U.S. now risks losing its position as the top nation for academic excellence, all because of Trump's burgeoning authoritarianism. Hopefully, more judges, like the one from California, will step in and uphold students' rights.
