The Spin

Pro-government narrative

This design overhaul is precisely what the government needs after years of bureaucratic neglect. Americans deserve better than having to navigate clunky websites to access the services they need, which only wastes time and money while undermining public trust. It's time to utilize the best talent the private sector has to offer to fix these digital disasters.

Government-critical narrative

Trump's firing of experienced government designers only to then hire expensive private sector talent makes no logistical sense. Thanks to DOGE's cuts, the administration has dismantled proven digital service teams only to create this new studio as political theater. Real reform requires building on existing expertise, not starting from scratch.
