The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

While many claimed to be celebrating Juneteenth while doing nothing, Trump administration officials were coordinating with Black leaders to figure out ways to improve people's lives. Juneteenth should be rolled into the July 4 holiday in order to unite all Americans in celebration.

Anti-Trump narrative

Trump, who made Juneteenth a big part of his 2020 presidential campaign, stooped pretty low in disrespecting Juneteenth by marking the holiday that commemorates the end of slavery by demanding Americans work more. It's a rich message coming from a president who golfs every weekend.
