The Spin

Anti-Trump narrative

Ingrassia’s withdrawal does not disguise the fact that he was never a fit nomination to lead the OSC in the first place. His racist texts and history of sexual harassment utterly disqualified him from a position that required the highest standards. Ingrassia was a candidate who lacked even the most basic qualifications and would have threatened the integrity of federal oversight.

Pro-Trump narrative

Tragically, Ingrassia has fallen foul of the radical left’s coordinated smear campaign. With his America First credentials and leadership experience, Ingrassia would have been a strong candidate to lead the OSC and restore integrity to the federal government. Hopefully, President Trump will find a new role for Ingrassia elsewhere within the administration.
