The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

Epstein died years ago and it's bewildering that people remain interested in his case. While his activities were sordid, the files are boring and do not contain new information. Only fake news media are interested in keeping this going, but nonetheless, if there's credible information, there's no reason it can't be released.

Left narrative

For years, Trump has been the one pushing conspiracy theories, about everything from Obama's birth to the legitimacy of the 2020 election. Pushing this kind of thinking among his followers has now reared its head to work against him. The lack of trust about what officials have to say about Epstein was a crisis of his own making.

Establishment-critical narrative

This whole Epstein saga should put to rest the whole faulty notion that Trump is somehow an anti-establishment figure taking on the Deep State. Just like the scores of other millionaires, celebrities and powerful figures who engaged in lewd acts with underage victims at the invitation of Epstein, Trump is no different and now he is using his office to shield himself and his elite class from the consequences.
