The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

The AP decided to ignore President Trump's lawful name change to the Gulf of America, demonstrating its commitment to being divisive and partisan, rather than pursuing unbiased journalism. It has no right to automatically be given access to presidential events and it was right to limit their access given their publishing of misinformation.

Anti-Trump narrative

A judge has ruled that Trump's banning of the AP from Oval Office events is unconstitutional and has already rejected arguments for the court order to be delayed amid further hearings on the matter. Trump ought to follow the law and immediately restore the access of AP journalists.
