The second Trump administration is so disastrous that even support among his own Republican base is plunging amid widespread economic anxiety. Given his declining popularity, it's no wonder that Trump is pushing for a mid-cycle redistricting ahead of the 2026 midterms. Otherwise, his party may lose the House majority.
Trump's net approval is going up and performing better than expected in his second term. His current ratings at this point are not only an improvement from recent weeks and from the same point in his first term, but also the best ones for a U.S. president in his second stint at the White House over the past two decades.
