The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

Over the last several days in Florida, the U.S. has continued to hold talks on ending the war with Russian and Ukrainian delegations, both of whom highly value the efforts of the U.S. in seeking to find a resolution to the conflict. Talks with both countries were productive and constructive and the U.S. remains fully committed to finding peace.

Pro-Ukraine narrative

The Ukrainian delegation has continued to engage with U.S. counterparts on ending the war, discussing important points such as security guarantees and reconstruction in detail. The Ukrainian team will brief President Volodymyr Zelenskyy upon their return to the country.

Pro-Russia narrative

Following two days of talks with U.S. officials, Russia's Kirill Dmitriev is flying straight to St Petersburg where President Vladimir Putin is currently visiting. There, he will brief the Russian president on all the latest developments on the negotiations.

Anti-Russia narrative

Though these talks were hailed as constructive, a top aide to Putin recently said that European input on peace proposals will not have improved the conditions for peace. Indeed, Russia is likely to reject these proposals so a peace deal is likely no closer to being achieved.
