Version 6.20.2
Europe must urgently revive nuclear negotiations with Iran before the JCPOA expires in 2025, as military escalation or weaponization would destabilize an already fragile security environment. The E3 has decades of mediating experience and remains Iran's only viable negotiating partner since Tehran refuses direct talks with the U.S. under maximum pressure. Without European diplomatic intervention offering credible sanctions relief and regional buy-in, Iran will likely retaliate as it did in 2019-2020.
Iran's brutal crackdown killing over 540 protesters and arresting 10,000 more demands harsher EU sanctions, not diplomatic engagement that legitimizes a murderous regime. The Islamic Republic has sustained itself through torture, repression and murder while supplying Russia with drones and threatening regional stability. Europe must stand fully behind Iranian demonstrators by banning Iranian diplomats and imposing punitive measures, not rewarding Tehran's violence with negotiations.
