Cole Allen, a registered Democrat, was indicted on four criminal counts, including assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon, after attempting to assassinate Trump. This attack isn't a random act, but the direct result of Democrats radicalizing their base with violent rhetoric. Until the left takes responsibility for what it's inspiring, this kind of political violence will keep happening.

Blaming Democrats for the actions of a mentally disturbed individual is a bad-faith attempt to silence legitimate political opposition. This blame game seeks to exploit tragic events like these to remove legal protections for criticizing policy and stating facts. The effort is also incredibly hypocritical, given that Trump himself has routinely employed violent language against his opponents.
