Left narrative

Nitrogen gas execution is torture as it causes severe air hunger, anxiety and physical distress for up to three minutes, which a federal court confirmed is constitutionally intolerable. SCOTUS was right to block Alabama's protocol because the Eighth Amendment exists precisely to prevent this kind of suffering. Gas suffocation executions have no place in the United States.

Right narrative

Blocking this execution is a slap in the face to the families of Ellis and Thompson, who were brutally murdered by Lee. Justice for victims gets buried under endless legal maneuvering that prioritizes a killer's comfort over accountability. A society that endorses the death penalty must have the courage to carry it out rather than shield itself from the consequences of that choice.
