The UN warned that the world is failing to protect civilians caught in conflicts,Iran unveiled a new medium-range ballistic missile,a report claimed Iran is building a nuclear site that US bombs can't reach,three Palestinian militants were killed in an Israeli raid near Nablus,and three Israeli soldiers were sentenced to prison for abusing a Palestinian.Meanwhile, Colombia suspended its ceasefire with a rebel group,al-Shabaab attacked an African Union peacekeeper base in Somalia,and US fighter pilot "CQ" Brown Jr. was nominated as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Russia-Ukraine

On Monday, Russia warned the US against enabling Ukraine to attack Crimea following its approval of an F-16 fighter jet training program for Ukrainian pilots.This came the same day two paramilitary groups overran a border checkpoint in Russia's Belgorad region.The operation was claimed by the Russian Volunteer Corps, with its commander, Denis Kapustin, vowing to conduct further intrusions.On Friday, Russia continued its drone strikes, reportedly launching 17 missiles and 31 kamikaze drones across Ukraine,and on Saturday, a senior Ukrainian official said that the country is ready to begin its spring counteroffensive.Meanwhile, on Thursday, Russia summoned the ambassadors of Germany, Sweden, and Denmark in objection to a probe of last year's Nord Stream pipeline blasts.

Donald Trump's hush-money trial was set for March 2024,writer E. Jean Carroll sought new damages over Trump's CNN town hall,a report claimed Trump was warned about keeping classified documents,and Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
