Kamala Harris could complicate a potential truce.Meanwhile, Israel ordered the evacuation of part of a humanitarian zone in Gaza,as its Knesset passed a set of bills to deem the UN's agency for Palestinian refugees a terrorist organization,a male from Oct. 7 recounted his assault at the hands of Hamas,and Lebanon's Hezbollah released drone footage of an Israeli military base.This comes as the man who attacked author Salman Rushdie in 2022 was charged with acting on behalf of Hezbollah,the UN warned that the threat of terrorism is "resurging" in Syria,Sudan's paramilitary chief agreed to attend US-mediated cease-fire talks,and gang violence in Papua New Guinea killed at least 26.Elsewhere, Hungary was blocked from hosting an upcoming EU meeting over its Ukraine peace mission,Ukraine's foreign minister said that China is committed to ending the war,and Kyiv struck several Russian military sites.In other news, the US Navy announced the first air-to-air victory for a female fighter pilot,as it settled a lawsuit with sailors who refused the COVID vaccine.

World Politics

Netanyahu delivered remarks to the US Congress,the UK dropped its objection to the International Court of Justice's arrest warrant for Netanyahu,EU states called for a change of policy on Syria,and Canada's top court ruled that the Crown breached a treaty with First Nations.Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer suspended seven members of parliament,French Pres. Emmanuel Macron decided to keep the current caretaker government until after the Olympics,and France's National Rally was blocked from several key positions.

US Politics

Democrats raised nearly $50M last Sunday alone following Joe Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race,and Obama endorsed Kamala Harris,as she reportedly garnered enough delegates' support for the Democratic nomination,and held her first campaign rally.This comes as a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed Harris leading Trump 44% to 42%,Trump's team challenged Harris' access to Biden's campaign funds,as the former president refused to debate her until she's formally nominated to the race,and the GOP filed an impeachment resolution against the vice president.Meanwhile, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resignedafter admitting to security lapses leading up to the attempted Trump assassination,and FBI Director Christopher Wray testified about the Pennsylvania rally incident.In other news, Bob Menendez decided to give up his Senate seat,the Congressional Budget Office claimed that immigration could boost the economy,and California Gov.
