Yann LeCun

Yann LeCun

Yann LeCun is a French computer scientist serving as Chief AI Scientist at Facebook AI Research (FAIR) and a part-time Silver Professor at New York University. He is best known for his work on optical character recognition and computer vision using convolutional neural networks. He is considered one of the three "Godfathers of AI" alongside Yoshua Bengio and Geoffrey Hinton, with the three receiving the ACM A.M. Turing Award in 2018.
