The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), established by the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, is an independent U.S. government agency headed by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), responsible for overseeing and coordinating the nation’s 18 intelligence agencies and managing the National Intelligence Program. Serving as the principal intelligence advisor to the President, the National Security Council, and Congress, the ODNI integrates intelligence collection, analysis, and budgeting to support national security and ensure effective cooperation across the intelligence community.
