UN Experts: Famine Has Spread Across Gaza

Independent human rights experts authorized by the UN said on Tuesday that the recent deaths of children due to malnourishment suggest that famine has spread throughout Gaza. Local health authorities said at least 33 children have died of malnutrition, mostly in the north.
The experts also claimed that Israel is engaged in an "intentional and targeted starvation campaign against the Palestinian people." Israel said the statement was "misinformation."
The UN has not officially declared a famine in Gaza. Israel accused the experts of "supporting Hamas propaganda," adding that Israel has increased its efforts to deliver humanitarian aid and that Hamas operatives "intentionally steal and hide aid from civilians."

It should be clear after nine months of grinding brutality that Israel's true goal is to destroy Gaza and starve its people. Indeed, famine is an integral part of Israel's genocidal campaign. Children are quite literally starving to death in their mothers' arms, yet the US and international community have failed to end this travesty.

The UN and other Hamas enablers spread the lie that Israel has purposefully caused a famine in Gaza, but it's clear that no such famine ever happened. Recent studies show that there is more than enough food entering Gaza to feed its population, but Hamas attacks these aid convoys, steals the food for itself, and then blames Israel for the starvation.
