The Spin

Conservative Party narrative

The Conservative platform offers a clear, practical alternative to Liberal big-government spending. It focuses on making life more affordable through $75 billion in tax relief, reducing the deficit by 70%, and cutting waste while protecting essential services. Crucially, it unleashes both the private and resource sectors by getting government out of the way — providing the economic rocket fuel Canada needs to grow, build, and prosper.

Liberal Party narrative

The Conservative platform leans heavily on speculative economic growth, relying on uncertain revenue projections and delayed tax cuts. It fails to present a concrete plan to address the immediate threats posed by Trump’s trade war or protect Canadian jobs and sovereignty. In contrast, Mark Carney’s platform outlines a clear strategy, including direct investments in infrastructure, a $5 billion trade diversification fund, and a focus on securing Canada's global economic position.

New Democratic Party narrative

Poilievre’s platform, like the Liberals’, proposes billions in cuts to vital services, including healthcare. While the Liberals shroud their $28 billion in cuts in vague promises, Poilievre’s plan is clear: deep cuts to environmental protections, public services, and more. Despite claims to protect dental and pharmacare, his past votes against them reveal his true priorities. Canadians deserve a government that will expand services, not slash them.
