On Friday, a Canadian Federal Court of Appeal ruled that the federal government's invocation of the Emergencies Act in February 2022 during the Freedom Convoy was "unreasonable and [beyond their legal authority]." The court dismissed the government's appeal of a 2024 ruling which deemed the decision unlawful.
