It's about time SCE faces federal government accountability for all the tragedies it has caused with its negligence. Before these most recent fires, the company paid hundreds of millions of dollars to settle with local entities over the 2017 and 2018 mudslides. SCE has lost the benefit of the doubt and must pay.

SCE must be held accountable and it must be forced to pay compensation for the damage it has caused. But the government needs to get to the back of the line. Certainly the DOJ can understand that those whose lives were gravely affected by the fires should be compensated for their loss of loved ones and homes before the government.
