While this endeavor is certainly ambitious, SpaceX, xAI and Tesla have all previously done what experts have considered impossible, and are prepared to do so again.

Given that Tesla has zero semiconductor manufacturing experience, a gutted chip talent base and a core auto business bleeding revenue, this is the worst possible moment to bet tens of billions on the most unforgiving industry going. When coupled with the outlandish goals and ambitions of those driving it, Musk may have bitten off more than he can chew.
